Site Overview
JT's Place is... hmmm, how do you describe it? It is a place to find entertainment, information, and encouragement. Here, you'll find some of the webs greatest videos and music videos, world news, games, other various gadgets (a.k.a widgets), a discussion forum, select television shows, and reviews and commentaries on various things from churches to movies.
Embedded Content
Embedded content is a vital part of JT's Place. If it wasn't for embedded content, this site wouldn't be nearly as cool or as fun! So, most of the content on this site can be found on other sites, but this is one location where you can find all of it in one place... JT's Place.
What is embedded content?
Embedded content is, basically, content pulled from other sites via html code. What? That doesn't explain much? Well, maybe an example would help explain.
Okay. Now imagine you are watching a video on YouTube. You really like the video and wish you could put it on your myspace or website. Then, you notice the little words "embed code" to the right of the video. This code is the key to placing the awesome video you just found on YouTube on your website. You simply copy the code and paste it into a location that is HTML ready or compatible (MySpace profile boxes are capable of this function, for example.) Embedded content isn't limited only to videos though. You can embed just about anything from videos, to games, to scrolling world news... just as I have done on this website. Embedded content can really make a site more entertaining, informative, and fun. Weebly, the service I used to create and do use to manage JT's Place, makes using HTML code very easy.
Weebly
Weebly is the website/service that I used to create this site, and the one I still use to maintain it. Weebly offers both a free service and a service with a fee. I use the free service, and have been able to create this website with it, and, I say, if you can get this kind of outcome with just the free service, then the service provider is pretty amazing! The ease of use is pretty incredible too-- very user friendly. I highly recommend Weebly to anyone interested in creating their own website for free and with free hosting! If I am not mistaken, the service Weebly provides with a fee has a few additional features as well as allows the user to create up to ten websites on one account (the free service has a limit of two). I believe the service with a fee also provides a higher mb per file limit than the free service.
Christ at the Center
JT's Place is definitely in support of entertainment and having fun, but at the center of the site, you'll find a strong faith in Jesus Christ. He is my Savior, and He is yours. I truly hope that everything on this site will be to His glory and His honor.
