Little House on the Prairie
Little House on the Prairie is a great, and very popular, drama series that aired for nine full seasons (plus the pilot and three final tv movies) in the 1970's and 1980's. Based on the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, the show is set in the late 1800's (I think about one century before the shows airdate [e.g. there was an episode set during the nation's centennial, when, in reality, the bicentennial was about to take place). A very good show that provides clean entertainment, contains a satisfactory amount of humor, confronts many life issues, and refers often to the Holy Bible (though sometimes theologically lacking), Little House on the Prairie is definitely high on my favorites list.
Other Little House on the Prairie Info:
The entire series may be purchased on DVD. Sam's Club has the cheapest prices I've seen for the Little House DVD sets. The Pilot is not included in the first season DVD set; it must be purchased separately. The television movies that brought the series to an end are available in their own DVD set. I highly recommend watching the entire series in chronological order! There are two episodes that are not in order on the DVDs. They are "Bunny" and "The Race". They appear in reverse order on disk 1 of the season 3 set. Whether that is actually how they aired or not, I'm not sure. As far as I know, those are the only episodes that obviously appear to be out of order.
