Halloween
Halloween is a fairly controversial subject. Christian's seem often to be divided over whether or not to observe it and how to observe it if they do. I, personally, see the holiday as a type of "bright darkness" that sneaks it's way, via having an appearance of fun and good times, into the lives of many people who would likely be strongly opposed to its occult origins. Halloween, I feel, celebrates and glorifies a perverted view of life and, especially, the spirit realm. It does this, I think, through its glorification of the grusome and evil and its portrayal of practices associated with the occult. I hope this page will help to provide you with, if nothing else, some food for thought on the matter of Halloween, and, perhaps, help you to come to some personal conclusion about this popular holiday.
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.”
